On May 27, church 'Philadelphia' gathered women for the last women's meeting of the season. The theme of the meeting was based on the verse from Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me..."

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
    instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.

Anatoli Zaikin - Associate Pastor at church Philadelphia - opened the meeting with a word about the importance of the women's role in Church and family. Veronika Chepel was a hostess of the event.

Rita Fedorchuk - the Women's Ministery leader and inspirer - encouraged everyone to rely on God in every situation.

A special guest from Mykolaiv - Snizhana Hryhorovych - talked about our thoughts and how they influence our lives.

Every woman received a sepcial gift - a book called 'The Good Life' by Charles Colson.

A church member Olena Tovyanska talked about the Holy Spirit and that 'God gives the Spirit without limit' (John 3:34). She mentioned that some things in our life, e.g. sin, lack of faith, etc. can prevent the Holy Spirit from doing His work in us.

There was a lot of communication, songs and prayers.

A big thank you to Kateryna Nedilko for her great contribution into organization of women's meetings at 'Philadelphia'.
