Baby Shower for Valerie
Sometimes the cares of this world make us forget to appreciate the “ordinary” things around us. Carrying a baby – a miracle or a physiological fact? Non-existent yesterday – a human being today. Just a woman yesterday – a mother today. Only a hope yesterday – a reward from God today.
Before the creation of the world, God had planned a son for Valerie and pastor Valeriy Sekisovy, who already have a 6-year-old daughter Darynka. This miracle – and we believe it to be a true miracle – was a reason why our church gathered for a baby shower, which is becoming traditional. On September 17, sisters congratulated Valerie on her upcoming motherhood and supported her with prayers and warm wishes.
What can help an expecting mother to relax and let go of all the fears and worries? A firm belief that our heavenly Father will take care of everything. That is why everyone read a verse from the Bible to cheer up Valerie and prayed for her and her baby.
There was also singing, giving presents, a lunch outdoors and many beautiful pictures to remember this day by.
