It has become a tradition for our church to get away for a few days from the hustle and bustle of the world to study God's word, find a deep connection with God and communicate with each other. This year, our church went on a spiritual retreat to Radomyshel, near Kiev, during September 8-10.

26 brothers and sisters spent three wonderful days in the “Favor” recreation center in Radomyshel.

Sister Tatiana Sinelnikova shares her experience:

“I would like to start by thanking God for these three wonderful days; for the opportunity to communicate with brothers and sisters in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes it felt as if the Holy Spirit Himself conducted the meetings, because speakers’ performance had a lot in common and completed each other. After the retreat, I almost wanted to rename the book of The Acts of the Apostles to the book of The Acts of the Holy Spirit. Speakers transferred us into the times of the first apostolic Church and I wanted to experience their life and feel the power of the Spirit that they experienced. Even though times have changed, the Spirit is the same. We talked about mercy, worship and love - the qualities that we need to fulfill the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ to go and make disciples of all nations.

During the time of the first apostolic Church, the Holy Spirit took part in every Christian’s life 24 hours a day and was involved all the spheres of the Christian’s life. Today, we often communicate with Him only in church or while praying at home. But He wants to be a part of everything we do and doesn’t like to be limited. That is why we don’t experience the full power of the Holy Spirit these days.

I also would like to thank everyone who organized this event, all the speakers, and those who shared these three happy days with me.”

No one wanted to leave. One of the brothers said: “When I came back home, I felt like they threw me down from Heaven to earth, with all its worries and troubles. It was so good there.”

We are looking forward for the next year. Meanwhile – we wish everyone God’s presence every day.
